Welcome to the Sirens of Sydney podcast

Mythology. SIREN: One of a group of sea nymphs who by their sweet singing lured mariners to destruction on the rocks surrounding their island. The Sirens of Sydney is a myspace portal designed to promote the independent female solo artists of Sydney. It's run by a Head Siren (if we told you who, we'd have to kill you) and a group of slavishly devoted minions who believe in the power of the independent woman in music. Each artist included on the portal is bestowed the title of a Siren of Sydney, as her musical prowess is a force to be reckoned with! Over 40 individual Sirens have joined us since 2006, and we now have a lot of music and news to cover. The next natural step is to create a regular podcast.
